This is a full time position with benefits. The harvester will perform duties as required to work inside the mushroom harvesting facility at JM Farms. The shift is a rotating four days on, two days off schedule. After training, the base pay will be reduced to $7.25/hr, but speed and accuracy bonuses will be paid. Harvesters normally average $10.00/hr - $16.00/hr after training with the bonuses. The harvester will play an important role in the day to day operations at the growing facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) on the safe handling and proper selecting and picking of mushrooms
· Manually cutting the mushroom stem with a knife
· Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) for food processing
· Good communication with supervisors and other employees
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
· General housekeeping duties
Requirements and Skills:
· Must be at least eighteen years of age
· Must be able to work early mornings as well as weekends and holidays
· Ability to adhere closely to SOP’s
· Proven abilities to work independently and productively with limited supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
· Self-motivation and honesty
· Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty pounds
· Bilingual is a plus, but is not required
· Previous harvesting experience is preferred, but not required
